Ending The Blog With Thanks

Mom asked that I post this, from her to all of you:

As I left the hospital yesterday, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude.

Gratitude for every medical team member that played their part in my recovery.

Gratitude for faithful friends and family members who prayed and fasted for me--true disciples of Jesus Christ.

Gratitude for my rock-solid family who supported me and each other.

Gratitude for Neil. Neil is a man of strength in every way--physically, spiritually, intellectually, mentally. He is unselfish and caring.

Gratitude for the miracle of life. I have no doubt that Jesus Christ performed this miracle for us.

And gratitude to be able to look back and see Heavenly Father's hand orchestrating the details of this miracle for us. His hand is everywhere to be seen in the events of the past several weeks.

I know I won't be able to thank everyone, but if this expression of my love reaches you, please know it is real and sincere.

Our whole family echoes Mom's thankfulness.

With that, this blog has done what we intended for it to do, so we're going to shut things down. We'll leave you with this beautiful music from Sunday's General Conference session that has particular relevance for our family now.

  1. I’m so happy you are home! Now you can recover in familiar surroundings. You have been in our thoughts and prayers and we feel so grateful you are doing so well. I also think it was no coincidence you came home on my dad’s birthday. Pretty sure he has been closely watching over you. 💕
